In Short: This is a truly wonderful and touching story. I think this could be a great book to read to a child that has recently lost a loved one or experienced any other kind of sadness.

Pros: The illustrations in this book are absolutely adorable. I love the way they are colored in as the story is told. In essence showing the change in the girls mood as the light comes back into her life. It’s kind of hard to explain you’ll have to see it for yourself. Very beautiful story.

Cons: I found no faults with this book.

Touching book about a child coping with the loss of a loved one. Beautiful illustrations by a gifted young lady. Shows how the simple things in life keep us grounded.
This book was a wonderful read for both myself & my son. It's a beautifully crafted book on how to deal with the loss of loved ones in our lives. The artwork was gorgeous & made a beautiful pairing with the message in the book. I hope this is not the last we hear from this mother-daughter team.
Sara Dippity is a heartwarming story of a young girl's loss and her journey back to seeing the colors of life through her backyard friend, a red cardinal. The illustrations are charming and vivid. This is a great book to share with any child dealing with loss or change in their life.
Sometimes God's voice can be heard loudest in a cool breeze, a bubbling pond, or the flutter of a cardinal's wing. Katie discovers hope and healing after the death of her grandmother right in her own backyard. Sara Dippity is a well written, beautifully illustrated opportunity view the grieving process through the eyes of a child. I enjoyed reading it myself and also used it as a conversation starter to discuss loss with my 15 and 10 year old boys.
This is a wonderful book for children written and illustrated by a young girl. It shows how nature and time helps children cope with loss in their lives. I encourage parents to share this book with their young children.
